Justin Hart
Justin's
style is heavily influenced by West Coast coastal beach and
bush. He tries to eliminate housing and to bring in the feeling
of isolation, away from the mechanical city's hustle and bustle
of every day life, although he does enjoy taking shots of surfers
on waves to show movement and people at play.
He
enjoys tackling storms to capture the different moods of the
rugged West Coast and can't get enough of the magical sunsets
and gold reflecting clouds they create.
Justin
fell in love with the West Coast at 12 years of age and as
a young surfer, it has been a goal of his to live and own a
house at Piha. He fell into photography due to the mere beauty
of his surroundings and wanting to capture the way he saw the
coast on camera.
Showing
his friends and family they soon became interested in his work
and started buying his pictures and pushing him to get them
into galleries. This lead to showing in a couple of galleries
who really appreciated his style and since then his works have
been selling successfully.
In
the future, Justin would like to travel from the top of the
North Island all the way to the bottom of the South Island,
along the West Coast, capturing NZ's entire West Coast beauty.
Justins
photography is also featured at:
West Coast Gallery, West Coast Community Arts Trust, Piha.
Dragonfly art gallery, Matakana.
